ACCIONA Energía has secured a 20-year power supply contract in the Philippines’ fourth Green Energy Auction Programme (GEA-4), covering the full output of two renewable projects totalling 281 MW. The award includes the 101 MW Kalayaan 2 wind farm in Laguna, currently under construction, and the 180 MWp Daanbantayan solar project in Cebu, which is scheduled to begin construction before the end of 2025.
The contract ensures long-term revenue certainty for both facilities and supports national efforts to expand renewable energy generation. ACCIONA Energía is concurrently developing a broader pipeline exceeding 2 GW in the Philippines and has strengthened its partnerships across Southeast Asia to scale its regional presence.
With a global installed capacity of 15,147 MW as of June 2025, the company continues to advance international clean energy projects, including a planned 1 GWh battery energy storage system at its Malgarida solar complex in Chile.
