Accenture has been selected by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to support digital transformation projects in six countries across Asia and Africa. The countries include Cambodia, India, Mauritius, Thailand, Uganda and Vietnam. JICA aims to extend and develop the pilots into model projects for digital transformation that eventually become a key part of international development and cooperation.

The JICA pilot projects include a digital currency verification pilot in Cambodia, public-private platform pilot to improve loan efficiency in India, pilot to study feasibility of smart city OS for disaster management in Mauritius, pilot to assess the feasibility of artificial intelligence for water pipeline management in Thailand, pilot to study data integration and analysis for refugee support facilities in Uganda, pilot to study citizens’ behavioural change through predictive modelling of water quality in Vietnam.
