Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC) has commenced operations of Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA), marking its third airport under management alongside Mactan-Cebu and Laguindingan airports in the Philippines. The handover from the Department of Transportation and the Civil Aviation Authority. AIC aims to introduce service innovations and infrastructure improvements that enhance passenger experience and drive tourism and economic growth across the Visayas.

As part of a PHP4.53 billion public-private partnership (PPP), AIC plans to expand and modernise BPIA’s facilities. Initial upgrades will increase annual capacity from 2 million to 2.5 million passengers within two years, with further expansion to 3.9 million by 2030. The project aligns with AIC’s broader strategy to build sustainable, tech-driven infrastructure that supports inclusive growth and strengthens connectivity across the Philippines.
