Circle Internet Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Singapore-based B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company Tazapay. The transaction, which is expected to close in 2027 subject to regulatory approvals including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, will bring Tazapay’s banking and fintech partnerships, local payout networks and institutional customer base into Circle’s payments ecosystem.
Tazapay processes more than USD25 billion in annualised payment volume through a network of more than 60 banking and fintech partners, with local payout rails covering over 100 markets. Around 60 per cent of its transaction volume already involves stablecoins. The acquisition is intended to expand Circle’s ability to originate and settle cross-border payments globally, including through its USDC stablecoin infrastructure.
