PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group) has received the Deal of the Year – Transaction Over USD 100 Million award at the 2026 Energy Council Singapore Awards of Excellence for its acquisition of Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Singapore (SECP), which now operates as Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. (Aster). The award recognises the strategic significance of the transaction in expanding the company’s presence in Singapore and strengthening its position as a regional platform across the energy, chemicals and infrastructure sectors.
The acquisition was completed through CAPGC Pte. Ltd., a joint venture between Chandra Asri Group and Glencore. According to the company, the transaction enhances operational capabilities, broadens its regional footprint and improves competitiveness amid rising industrial and energy demand across the Asia-Pacific region. Andre Khor, Group Chief Financial Officer of Chandra Asri Group and Deputy CEO of Aster, stated that the acquisition represents an important step in the company’s transformation into a leading regional player in the energy and chemicals industry.
