Azli Mohamed has been appointed as the new President and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gas Malaysia Bhd. Azli previously joined the company as President and Group CEO-Elect before formally assuming the top position.
Azli brings more than two decades of leadership experience across the energy, aviation, infrastructure, finance, sustainability and digital transformation sectors. Prior to joining Gas Malaysia, he served as Managing Director of Siemens Energy Malaysia, where he oversaw initiatives related to energy technology, grid modernisation and sustainable energy solutions. His previous roles also include senior leadership positions at AEON Group Malaysia, Capital A (formerly AirAsia Group), Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad and General Electric Malaysia.
The appointment comes as Gas Malaysia continues to implement its GM32 strategic plan, which focuses on strengthening its core gas business, exploring opportunities across the energy value chain and supporting Malaysia’s transition towards cleaner energy solutions. The company expects Azli’s experience in business transformation, operational excellence and sustainability to support future growth, innovation and long-term value creation.
