The Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics (HAFFA) and the Vietnam International Institute of Logistics & Supply Chain (IILS) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in freight forwarding, logistics and supply chain development between Hong Kong and Vietnam. The agreement was signed during the Global Event Logistics Summit (GELS) 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration covering bilateral trade promotion, development of international multimodal transport corridors, information exchange, policy consultation, professional training and industry knowledge sharing. The agreement also aims to facilitate coordinated efforts to address logistics challenges and improve connectivity between the two markets. Following the signing, representatives from both organisations discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in cargo movement, logistics efficiency, service quality and supply chain integration.
