Bank Mandiri has deployed a new high-precision time synchronisation system across its Jakarta data centres after selecting NEC Corporation’s Network Transformation Service, integrating Adtran Oscilloquartz technology to strengthen digital resiliency and regulatory compliance in financial trading operations.

Under the project, NEC and Adtran implemented the Oscilloquartz OSA 5412 dedicated NTP clock servers, providing accurate and secure time synchronisation for transaction reporting, audit trails, and fraud prevention. The solution replaces reliance on public NTP servers and supports future upgrades to Precision Time Protocol (PTP), while incorporating jamming and spoofing detection to enhance cybersecurity.

As Indonesia’s largest bank by assets, Bank Mandiri is accelerating digital banking services while aligning infrastructure with global regulatory requirements such as MiFID. The deployment improves transaction traceability, operational reliability, and risk management, supporting the bank’s broader strategy to deliver secure, real-time digital financial services at scale.
