VinFast has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vietmap to integrate digital mapping and smart traffic services into VinFast’s EVs. The partnership aims to improve user experience, promote green mobility, and strengthen the domestic technology ecosystem.
Under the agreement, Vietmap will provide a special package for VinFast EV owners using its Vietmap Live navigation app. VinFast plans to make the service part of its software options, while also supporting Vietmap in expanding its reach among e-vehicle users. The collaboration also covers joint R&D of advanced mapping solutions tailored to Vietnam’s road network, including expressways and Vinhomes’ urban developments.
The companies intend to co-develop features such as navigation assistance, ADAS, real-time positioning, and location-based services for direct integration into VinFast’s EV operating system. Both firms highlighted the partnership as a step toward building a smarter, eco-friendly transport ecosystem while boosting Vietnamese innovation in the automotive sector.
