The Department of Transportation (DoTr) expects right-of-way (ROW) acquisition for the Metro Manila Subway to reach about 95 per cent by the end of 2025, up from the current 75 per cent. Further, the remaining three contract packages (CP 105, CP 108, and CP 109) are targeted for award around October or November 2025.
CP 105 involves the Kalayaan Avenue and Bonifacio Global City stations, CP 108 covers Lawton and Senate–DepEd stations, while CP 109 will deliver the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 station. Valued at PHP10–15 billion each, these contracts are expected to break ground by November 2025 once awarded.
The 33-km subway will feature 17 stations, linking Quezon City to NAIA in just 35 minutes, compared to over an hour today. Designed to serve 370,000 passengers daily, the project is scheduled for phased openings, with full completion targeted for 2032.
