I Squared Capital has announced plans to invest an additional USD1 billion in the Philippines, targeting energy, transport, and digital infrastructure. The new capital will build on the firm’s existing USD 1 billion investments in the country, which include projects in renewable energy, cold storage, broadband, and logistics.

The firm’s current portfolio in the Philippines includes Aggreko (modular power), HEXA Renewables (utility-scale solar), Berde Renewables (rooftop solar), Royale Cold Storage, Philippine Coastal Storage & Pipeline Corporation, HGC (broadband), and BDx (data centers). SAPIEA chief Frederick Go noted that the investment supports inclusive growth and aims to improve quality of life across the country.
