Singapore-based firms will invest in the construction of a 50 MW solar power plant in Nusantara Capital (IKN), Indonesia’s new administrative hub in East Kalimantan. The project is a collaboration between Sembcorp and PLN Nusantara Renewables through their new joint venture, PT Nusantara Sembcorp Solar Energi.
The plant will be developed on an 86-hectare site and will be operated by the joint venture. The project is designed as part of IKN’s master plan to become a smart, sustainable forest city. The solar plant supports Indonesia’s net-zero goals and enhances regional energy access.
