Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has outlined a pricing framework for onshore and nearshore wind power projects for 2025. Proposed rates are 1,610.56 VND/kWh for onshore and 1,890.68 VND/kWh for nearshore projects, based on 20-year lifespans and standardised cost parameters. The framework was developed in collaboration with the Electricity Power Trading Company and the Institute of Energy, using data from investors and local authorities.
Additionally, EVN highlighted inconsistencies in regulatory terminology across key documents, seeking clarification from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The proposal aims to advance renewable energy goals within Vietnam’s national power development strategy despite ongoing technical and procedural challenges.
