A new consortium comprising AG&P Industrial, Cresphil Incorporation, Energy Stream Power Corporation, and Royal Eijkelkamp—has taken over the development of the Biliran II geothermal site in Eastern Visayas, Philippines. The site has an expected capacity of 50 to 70 MW, and the consortium aims to contribute to the growth of the Philippine geothermal sector.

AG&P Industrial will serve as the EPC contractor, handling construction and civil works. Meanwhile, Cresphil and Energy Stream Power will focus on regulatory compliance, permitting, and procurement. The project is part of broader efforts to expand renewable energy (RE) in the Philippines, supporting the government’s target of increasing RE to 35 per cent by 2035 and 50 per cent by 2040.

This project aims to reduce the country’s reliance on imported fossil fuels and contribute to regional economic development by providing stable, low-emission geothermal energy.
