The Governments of Indonesia and South Korea are expected to complete the feasibility study on the light rail transit (LRT) project in Bali by April 2024. The study is being conducted by the Korea National Railways and the project is being financed from the Korean Exim Bank.
The feasibility study began in January 2023. The Government of Indonesia is in discussions about the financing schemes for the project which include official development assistance loans and public-private partnerships (PPP).
