MT Tosca completes its first LNG ship-to-ship bunkering operation in Malaysia

MT Tosca has completed its first LNG ship-to-ship bunkering operation in Malaysia’s Pengerang region. The 7,000-dwt product tanker is the first dual-fuel vessel in GEFO’s fleet.

GEFO partnered with small-scale LNG providers Avenir Supply & Trading and LIQUIND Marine to organise the LNG bunkering operation. The firms contracted small-scale LNG bunker supply and delivery using the 7,500cbm LNG Bunker Vessel Avenir Advantage which is owned by Avenir and commercially operated by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas).

Following this collaboration, the firms will continue to work together to find opportunities to provide LNG in a cost-effective and flexible manner to a variety of consumers in strategic areas.
