Keppel Infrastructure and Perennial have partnered to deploy energy-as-a-service (EaaS) at Singapore’s Perennial Business City, under a USD50 million contract. The sustainable EaaS concept will include the installation, management, and operation of photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, efficient cooling systems and offer zero carbon electricity.

More than 1,800 rooftop solar PV panels will be installed in the Perennial Business City, with a capacity of generating 1,200 MWh annually. Keppel Infrastructure will assist in the installation of 20 smart electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to help promote the adoption of green transportation in the area.

Perennial Business City is an upcoming business park located in the Jurong Lake District and is majority-owned and managed by Perennial. The business park is predicted to lower overall building energy usage by more than 40 per cent once it commences commercial operations in 2022.
