Cleantech Solar has announced the completion of a 1MW solar photovoltaic (PV) system for Daiwa Kasei (Thailand) Company Limited (DAT). The PV system will provide clean energy to DAT under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) under which Cleantech Solar will fund, plan, build, own, and manage the PV system for the duration of the agreement. Over 2,000 solar panels have been installed on the roof of DAT’s manufacturing facility, and the rooftop solar power plant is expected to generate over 1,300 MWh of electricity annually, reducing over 750 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year.
