Thiess Pty Limited (Thiess) has been awarded five contract extensions with a combined value of USD101 million to supply coal mining operations in Indonesia. The contracts include works at Cakrawala Langit Sejahtera’s Hanoman boundary work at Arutmin Indonesia’s mine concession, Wahana Baratama Mining’s Wahana coal mine in South Kalimantan, Harum Energy’s Mahakam Sumber Jaya coal mine in East Kalimantan as well as undertaking Satui port operations.
Under the terms of the extensions, Thiess will continue to provide mining services to all of the projects involved. The scope of the work includes mine planning, design and implementation, blast and drill, waste disposal and restoration and port operations.
