Chengdu Engineering Company Limited, a subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China, is seeking $100 million from international banks to procure four water turbines from Voith GmbH and pumps from the Zenit Group for its hydropower project in Laos.
The total estimated cost of the 160 MW power plant is $320 million, of which $64 million will be provided by EDL-Generation Public Company while the remaining amount will be secured from Chinese banks. The expected repayment period for such loans is 15 years.
