The Korea International Cooperation Agency, the representative agency of the Republic of Korea’s government, has provided a grant of $3.5 million for an 18-month feasibility study to improve a 132 km long road proposed to come up on Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Highway Route No. 15 between Viengkham village in Pakkading district and Namphao village in Khamkeuth district, Borikhamxay province, from 2016 until 2017. The main objectives of this project are to improve the road transport infrastructure of Laos and to contribute to accelerating ASEAN economic integration by enhancing road connectivity between Laos and neighbouring countries.
