Japan-based firms KDDI and Sumitomo have partnered to invest $2 billion in Myanmar’s telecom sector over the next 10 years and have signed an MoU with state-owned telecommunications company Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications, to jointly operate a mobile network. The joint venture (JV) among these entities will be known as KDDI Summit Global Myanmar
