The SPC Power Corporation has announced its plans to build two greenfield 100 MW power plants inside the Naga Power Plant Complex in the city of Naga in southern Cebu. The coal-fired plants will be built using the latest environment-friendly, circulating fluidised bed combustion technology in partnership with the Korean Electric Power Corporation. The new power plants are expected to be operational within three to four years once the requisite approval to begin construction is secured by SPC.
