First founded in 2005, the Malaysia Awards programme began as the Malaysia Telecoms Awards, which focused on showcasing outstanding IT and telecommunications companies in the Malaysian market. In 2010, the programme was expanded to become the Malaysia Excellence Awards that also included other sectors. Award recipients are identified based on in-depth interviews, analyses, and extensive secondary research conducted by Frost & Sullivan’s analysts. Companies are typically evaluated based on the following indicators: revenues, market share, capabilities, and overall contribution to the industry.
