PLN has secured a $99.9 million loan from German development bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) to finance the development of its Kumbih III hydropower plant. The loan will have a 15 year tenor. The 45 MW power plant will be built at an estimated cost of $118.1 million. The construction of the plant will begin in 2019 and is expected to commence commercial operations from 2023.
