Malaysia-based HeiTech Padu Berhad’s subsidiary Duta Technic Sendirian Berhad (DTSB) has bagged contracts for the establishment of high voltage (HV) interconnection facilities associated with solar power plants and the complete design of substations in Malaysia.
DTSB has received three letters of award (LoAs) from Scatec Solar Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the establishment of HV interconnection facilities for the 3×50 MW solar power plants at Gurun Kedah (MYR 30 million), Jasin Melaka (MYR 22 million) and Merchang Terengganu (MYR 23 million) at a total contract value of MYR 75 million. The scope of the contracts involves the engineering design works covering civil and structural works and supply of HV electrical equipment, installation of underground cable and overhead transmission lines, including retrofitting works at Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s (TNB) 132/33 kV substations, along with manufacturing, inspection, testing, delivery, installation, construction, site testing and commissioning works. The work on the contract is expected to be completed by January 2018.
In addition, the company has also received an LoA worth MYR 19 million from Gading Kencana Development Sendirian Berhad for the complete design of a 132 kV switching substation and 33/132 kV step-up substation, HV equipment, secondary systems, and all ancillary and single-circuit loop-in-loop-outs of the 132 kV switching substation to TNB’s existing 132 kV overhead transmission line in Perak. The contract work is scheduled to be completed by May 2018.
