Mudajaya Corporation Berhad (MCB), a subsidiary of Mudajaya Group Berhad, has secured a loan of MYR 200 million from OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Bhd under package GS01 of Klang Valley Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT-3) in Malaysia. The funds will be utilised for the construction of stations, guideways, park-and-ride facilities and ancillary buildings.
Earlier, in October 2017, MCB secured a MYR 1.16-billion construction contract. In addition, Sunway Construction Group Berhad, Gabungan AQRS Berhad and WCT Holdings Berhad have secured contracts of a total value of MYR 3.99 billion for construction works on LRT-3.
LRT-3 will span 37 km from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in Klang, covering 26 stations. It is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2020.
