The Zamboanga City Water District has approved water projects worth PHP 636 million, to be implemented during 2013: the continuing rehabilitation and replacement of old lines (worth PhP 500 million); and the construction of a filtration facility for the old water treatment plant at a water district complex in Pasonanca Park (PHP 136 million). The latter project will be bid out during the second or third quarter of 2013. In addition, the water district also plans to spend between PHP 600 million and PHP 800 million to establish a water treatment facility with a production capacity of 50,000 cubic litres per day in 2014.
