Express Rail Link Sendirian Berhad (ERL), a subsidiary of YTL Corporation Berhad, has stated that it intends to develop rail networks including a high speed rail linking Malaysia and Singapore. The company is waiting for the government to call for tenders, which is expected during the second half of 2014. ERL will form a consortium with foreign companies to bid for the project. The company further stated that it plans to operate the high speed rail network, with YTL undertaking the civil works for the project.
