Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation has announced the launch of a new intra-Asia shipping service connecting China, Singapore and Malaysia, as part of efforts to strengthen regional trade connectivity.
The China–Singapore–Malaysia (CSM) service is scheduled to commence on April 3, 2026, and will operate on a fixed weekly schedule using three vessels with a capacity of around 2,800 TEUs each. The service will follow a 21-day round-trip rotation.
The port rotation for the new route will include Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Shekou, Singapore and Port Klang, before returning to Xiamen.
The launch forms part of Yang Ming’s broader strategy to optimise its intra-Asia network and improve service efficiency, as shipping lines continue to expand short-haul routes to capture growing regional demand and strengthen supply chain resilience. The new service is expected to support transshipment flows through major hubs such as Singapore and Port Klang.
