The Government of Vietnam aims to commence the construction works on two high-speed railway (HSR) lines connecting Hanoi with China before 2030. The first line will connect Haiphong and Quang Ninh to the China border in Yunnan province, meanwhile the other will connect Hanoi to Guangxi. Both projects aim to enhance transportation and trade links.
Further details about the projects are not yet disclosed.
Moreover, a new HSR line linking Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh City is also under planning.
