Construction on the THB290 billion Eastern Aviation City project in Thailand is scheduled to commence in 2023. The project will be located on a 1,040 hectares site in the Ban Chang district and will be funded under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The facility will include an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, a training centre, a free trade zone for cargo, an electricity power plant, a tap water production plant, a wastewater treatment plant, and aviation fuel services.
Masterplan for the aviation project was developed by One Works, GMR Group and Thai AirAsia among other stakeholders.
