Construction work on the 72 km National Highway 1A that aims to connect the Ha Tinh City bypass and the Ky Anh district has begun. The project is estimated to cost 3 trillion dong. The road that will be widened to six lanes will have a speed limit of 80 km per hour. It will start at the Cam Vinh Commune in Cam Xuyen district and end at the Ky Anh District’s Ky Trinh Commune. Construction work has been divided into two sub-projects. The 38 km section involving an investment of over 2 trillion dong will be developed by the Ha Tinh Transport Department, while the 33.6 km section will be constructed by the Ministry of Transport. The road is expected to be commissioned by end-2015.
