Woodside Energy Limited has signed an agreement with Keppel Data Centres (Keppel DC), City-OG Gas Energy Services Private Limited and Osaka Gas Singapore Private Limited to power data centres in Singapore with liquid hydrogen generated in Western Australia. Woodside has proposed sourcing the hydrogen from the H2Perth hydrogen plant located on the outskirts of Perth.

The project site is close to existing gas, power, water and port infrastructure. The hydrogen plant has been designed for net zero carbon emissions and can produce up to 1500 tonnes of hydrogen per day for export in the form of ammonia and liquid hydrogen.

The feasibility study for the liquid hydrogen corridor is expected to be completed in 2022 and the project partners will decide on the next phase of work depending on the result of the study.
