Widad Builders Sdn Bhd (WBSB), Widad Group Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, has secured a letter of award (LoA) from the Public Works Department (PWD) of Malaysia to build Package 3C of the Kota Bharu–Kuala Krai Expressway (KBKK) in Kelantan. The contract is valued at RM244.3 million. Work is expected to commence on December 27, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed by 2024.
The Kota Bharu–Kuala Krai Expressway is a 73 km highway that will connect the cities of Kota Bharu and Kuala Krai. The expressway will be constructed as a four-lane dual-carriageway highway with complete access control.
