West Sumatra’s new container terminal, Teluk Bayur port, located on the western coast of Sumatra, has been inaugurated. The terminal is managed by  state-run port administrator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II. The Rp 675 billion terminal is spread across an area of 46,886 square metres. Equipped with loading and unloading equipment, three jetty cranes, three rubber-tyred gantry cranes, and side loaders, it can accommodate more than 4,000 containers.
