VNPT has stated that its international transmission capacity has increased to 185 Gbps following the connection of three submarine cable systems – the Asia-America Gateway (AAG), the CSC system, and SEA-ME-WE-3. The three cable network is equipped to supply an aggregate capacity of 25 Gbps. Of this capacity, AAG and the CSC systems will supply 10 Gbps of capacity each, with SEA-ME-WE-3 covering the remainder. With this, VNPT will account for 70 per cent of the international bandwidth available to Vietnam. VNPT intends to increase its international bandwidth to 215 Gbps by end-2013.
