VinFast has introduced a new compact electric bus called the EB 6 in Vietnam, targeting both urban and longer-distance routes in Vietnam. The bus uses a 179.5 kWh LFP battery and a rear-mounted motor delivering 140 kW of power and 420 Nm of torque. It supports fast DC charging from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in 70 minutes and offers a range of over 250 km per charge. The top speed is capped at 90 km/h.
The EB 6 will be available in two configurations: a city bus with space for 30 passengers, including standing room and a wheelchair area, and a school bus version with 20 seats equipped with seatbelts. The school variant includes additional features such as surveillance cameras, an LED screen, an air purifier, and alert systems. Safety systems across both versions include disc brakes, ABS, EBD, and Brake Assist. Deliveries are scheduled for September and October 2025 for the city and school versions, respectively.
