State-owned Electricity of Vietnam’s (EVN) transmission subsidiary National Power Transmission Corporation has received a $170 million loan from Nippon Export Investment Insurance for construction of the 500 kV Song May-Tan Uyen transmission line project. This is a sub-project of the World Bank-funded Transmission Efficiency Project, and aims to increase the transmission capacity and reliability of the country’s 500 kV transmission system.
