The Government of Vietnam has plans to construct an additional 1,000 km of expressway by the end of 2025 as part of its broader goal to develop 3,000 km of expressways by 2025 and 5,000 km by 2030.

Since the beginning of the current government tenure, Vietnam has successfully completed over 900 km of expressways, increasing the total length to around 2,000 km. Additionally, the government announced the commencement of commercial operations of an 8.5 km elevated section of the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line, which began after nearly 14 years of construction.
