According to reports, about $7.8 billion would be invested in the first phase of the development of a new international airport in the country’s southern region. Long Thanh airport in Dong Nai province would be capable of handling 17 mppa once the first phase is completed. For the second phase, capacity would be expanded to handle 25 mppa.
