Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction (MoC) and the Embassy of Australia have conducted a meeting to deepen bilateral cooperation in infrastructure development, particularly in the transport sector. The meeting was in line with Australia’s commitment to supporting infrastructure projects in Vietnam as a strategic partner under the Australia–Vietnam Partnership for Economic Growth (Aus4Growth).

Australia is set to provide AUD90 million in official development assistance (ODA) to Vietnam, with transport infrastructure designated as a key focus. Between 2017 and mid-2024, Australia funded USD30 million in technical assistance to support the sector’s development. The MoC is preparing nine proposals for Australia’s consideration, focusing on digital transformation, climate-resilient transport, green mobility, and institutional reforms.
