Airline carrier VietJetAir has announced that it would sign a purchasing agreement with Airbus in Singapore to buy up to 92 Airbus aircraft in February 2014. The $9 billion order includes 62 medium-haul jets, with the option for an additional 30. Moreover, VietJetAir plans to lease eight more Airbus aircraft. The aircraft will be delivered in phases over a period of 10–12 years, with the first few aircraft expected to be delivered in the last quarter of 2014.
