Vietjet has signed strategic cooperation agreements with GMR Airports Limited and Bird Group to expand aviation, infrastructure and technology collaboration between India and Vietnam.
The agreements were signed during the India-Vietnam Business Forum held as part of the state visit of Vietnamese President To Lam to India. The partnerships are aimed at strengthening connectivity, tourism, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Under the agreement with GMR Airports, Vietjet will explore opportunities related to air connectivity, airport infrastructure, logistics networks, aviation services and smart airport systems, alongside potential long-term investment initiatives.
Separately, the partnership with Bird Group will focus on ground handling services, aviation training, travel technology, hospitality and passenger service enhancement to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Vietjet currently operates 25 routes and nearly 80 weekly flights connecting major Indian cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, with destinations in Vietnam. The airline stated that more than 2.5 million passengers have travelled on its India-Vietnam network to date.
