UOB Malaysia and Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) have launched a vendor financing programme aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s water infrastructure supply chain.
The UOB–PAAB Vendor Financing Programme is designed to improve access to financing for suppliers and vendors—primarily small and medium enterprises (SMEs), supporting their participation in water infrastructure projects across the country.
Under the initiative, vendors will benefit from structured financing through the Supplier-Financing Irrevocable Payment Undertaking (SF-IPU) facility. The programme enables more predictable cash flow, faster processing cycles, and improved operational readiness, helping suppliers deliver projects more efficiently. The initiative is expected to enhance supply chain resilience and accelerate project execution, contributing to the long-term development of Malaysia’s water infrastructure sector. PAAB noted that improved financing access will enable vendors to deliver more reliably, supporting nationwide infrastructure delivery.
