UBS has appointed August Hatecke as the Singapore country head and head of the Singapore branch. Hatecke took over from Edmund Koh, who was recently appointed president for Asia-Pacific and member of the UBS Group executive board. He has held various leadership positions over the span of his 19-year career at UBS, and has also served as head of the ultra-high-net-worth and global family office Switzerland. In his current role, Hatecke will drive the Swiss bank’s business strategy in Singapore, oversee governance and risks controls, besides chairing the Singapore management committee.
