Two solar power plants developed by the JV of the Thanh Thanh Cong Group and Gulf Energy Group of Thailand have been inaugurated in Trang Bang district of the southern province of Tay Ninh. The plants cover an area of 120 hectares and were built with a total capital of VND 2.7 trillion. The combined capacity of the plants is 118.8 MWp supplying about 184 million kWh a year to the country’s national grid, meeting the demand of about 150,000 households. The locality of Tay Ninh has so far granted investment licences to 10 solar power projects worth VND 21 trillion with a total estimated capacity of 808 MWp.
