True IDC has announced plans to develop a hyperscale data centre with a capacity of up to 250 MW in Eastern Economic Corridor in Thailand.
The project, approved under Thailand’s Board of Investment programme, forms part of a broader investment pipeline exceeding THB77 billion. The facility is designed to support rising demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital services, with operations expected to begin in 2027.
The data centre will be developed as an AI-focused hyperscale facility, incorporating modular design and advanced power architecture to improve efficiency and scalability. It is intended to support large-scale digital workloads and attract global hyperscale clients operating in Southeast Asia. The development reflects growing demand for high-capacity data centres across Southeast Asia, driven by rapid digitalisation, cloud adoption, and the expansion of AI-driven applications. Once completed, the facility is expected to significantly enhance Thailand’s capabilities in hosting large-scale digital and data-intensive operations.
