TotalEnergies has finished the construction of a 1 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at two production sites of PREMO Vietnam Company Limited in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam. The system will feature over 1,700 installed modules and will produce 1,350 MWh of renewable energy (RE) annually.
The installation will allow PREMO’s facilities to source 25 per cent of their power requirements from RE, resulting in cost savings and reducing the company’s carbon footprint by 1,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
As per the partnership agreement, TotalEnergies fully funded and installed the solar system, and will continue to operate it. Meanwhile, PREMO Vietnam will exclusively purchase the electricity generated for the next 20 years.
