TOT is set to take over True Corporation’s fixed line operations in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area (BMA) upon the expiry of the build-transfer-operate (BTO) agreement between the two companies on October 26, 2017. According to TOT, the transition will be smooth and will not affect the fixed line assets outside of the BMA. At present, through a BTO agreement with TOT, True Corporation provides local and domestic long distance services in the BMA. About 18 per cent of the revenues thus generated by the company are shared with TOT under the agreement.
